TMT tactical tourniquets are typically made of high-strength nylon or similar materials, which have durability and strong tensile strength.
It includes a specially designed metal sliding buckle or other form of quick release device for quickly fixing and adjusting the tension of the tourniquet.
Some designs may include additional tensioning devices or systems to help apply greater pressure to control blood flow.
Usage steps:
Placing a tourniquet: Place the TMT tactical tourniquet on the affected limb area that needs to be stopped, usually a few centimeters (inches) away from the wound.
Tighten the bandage: Tighten the tourniquet to ensure it adheres tightly to the surface of the limb and can effectively apply pressure. This usually requires adjusting the slider or other quick release device to accomplish.
Apply pressure: Apply sufficient pressure through appropriate means (usually knobs, buttons, or other tension adjustment devices) to stop blood from flowing out of the wound.
Confirm hemostatic effect:
Confirm that the pressure applied by the tourniquet is sufficient to effectively control blood flow. Check the pulse of the limbs to confirm that blood flow has stopped.
Record time:
Record the application time of the TMT tactical tourniquet, in order to release it at the appropriate time or reassess the need.
Subsequent processing:
Once the injured person arrives at a professional medical facility, experienced medical professionals will further treat the wound, including releasing the tourniquet at the appropriate time to restore blood flow and minimize damage.
